Our Story
"Our bistro was born from a desire to bring a piece of South Africa to Prague. Nicolaas, a native South African now living in the Czech Republic, often missed the tastes, smells, and atmosphere of home. And so the idea was born to create a place that would be a true 'home away from home' – not just for all South Africans living in Czechia, but also for anyone who wants to experience true African hospitality and authentic flavors. And Martina? As a supportive wife, she stood by his side from the very beginning. Together, they turned the dream into a reality."

Desserts, Coffee & Wine
Martina takes care of the excellent coffee and the selection of South African wines, and with a smile, she’ll recommend the perfect sweet finish—especially the homemade Malva Pudding, which tastes just as good as it looks. And if you’re torn between dessert and a Springbokkie shot? Her advice is simple: why not have both?

Nicolaas is the man behind the aroma of our kitchen. He is used to preparing meat from a young age and strives for true originality. He handcrafts dried meat biltong, juicy smashburgers, and honest boerewors. He will gladly recommend a South African beer to go with your good meal.
